Craig Morrison is an English, Media and Drama specialist who graduated from Warwick and trained to teach at Homerton College, Cambridge before beginning his teaching career in Cheshire. He then spent 10 years working at Parkside as a leader in the English department and then as Assistant and Deputy Principal of Parkside and the wider federation. During this time he played a key role in federation with Coleridge, the bid and plans for Trumpington and the establishment of Parkside 6th. He was also responsible for the theme of innovation in the federation at that time, working with many academic, national and international partners.
Craig then moved into headship in Norfolk, which grew to include the leadership of two schools and work to establish a local multi-academy trust. More recently, he has worked for the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education as their secondary adviser and assistant director of education. In this role he supported fifteen secondary settings across South London and Surrey and worked in primary schools too. Craig was a governor of St Matthew’s Primary School for seven years, serves as a director of the SDBE’s own academy trust and has previously worked with United Learning in supporting Bacon’s College in Rotherhithe.
