Sara Garnham

Sara Garnham brings a wealth of experience with her having held key roles in business and third sector organisations. Having lived in Cambridge since 1984, she was most recently Business Development Director at the house building company The Hill Group for six years. Since 2013 she has managed a portfolio of Cambridge private, third sector and charity projects including chair of a local property development company and a housing association. She is involved in education tech start up, EliT, and is also founding chair of Cambridge Live, the new spin out from Cambridge City Council which is the largest cultural arts organisation in the city. A lawyer by training, Sara has worked locally regionally and internationally in manufacturing and also brings experience in the education world having held various executive and non-executive roles, including at CCAT (now ARU) and educational support charity Bridget’s Trust. Sara said, “Good education is an essential building block for a strong society, the development of skills and knowledge together with the wide ranging experience a good school delivers is invaluable and I wanted to make a contribution to realising each and every student’s potential”
